Projectors are more eye-friendly than Computers, TVs and Interactive Whiteboards. Why?

Projectors can be used at Home, Education and Business projection. When enjoy the movies at home, projectors are more eye-friendly than TVs, mobile phones and tablets; compared with electronic interactive whiteboards in school education, projectors are more eye-friendly; in some mobile office, projectors are also better than computers and LED displays.

So, what makes projectors more eye-friendly than TVs, electronic whiteboards and tablets?

(1) The Diffuse Reflection

TVs, electronic whiteboards and tablet computers all use direct light, and the light source can directly hit our eyes. However, the projector projects the light source onto the screen or wall, and the light diffuses through the screen or the wall to enter our eyes. This diffuse reflection method of the projector can make the brightness of the light softer and reduce the stimulation of the light to the human eyes, which is one of the main reasons why the projector is more eye-friendly than TVs, electronic whiteboards and tablet computers.

(2) The degree of blue light hazard

At present, most TVs, electronic whiteboards and tablet computers on the market are LCD screens. The light source is too bright and the blue light is too much. The short-wave blue light in the wavelength range of 415-455nm is harmful to human eyes, and these harmful blue light can easily cause visual fatigue. Over time, it can cause vision loss and even damage to the eyes. Since the projector adopts the diffuse reflection, it would be much less harmful to the human eye. 

(3) Different projection screen size  

Taking the HOTUS H2 projector as an example, its projection ratio is 1.1:1, which could  project a picture of 20 to 200 inches. While we are using TVs, electronic whiteboards or tablets, their screen size is much smaller. That makes our eyes tend to focus on one place on the screen, and it is easy to cause eye fatigue when we maintain the same position for a long time. However, if you watch the large screen projected by the projector, the eye fatigue will be reduced a lot. Therefore, the projector is relatively more eye-friendly.
