The 5200mAh battery can be swapped out in seconds without shutting down or losing application state. Warehouse teams can carry spare packs and keep the terminal running across three-shift operations without waiting for a recharge cycle.
Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, 4G LTE, NFC, and an integrated barcode scanning engine (1D/2D) give operators all the communication and capture tools they need on a single terminal. No external sleds or separate modules are required for typical retail and logistics workflows.

The K401 handheld terminal is built for intensive data collection in supply chain, warehousing, field service, and retail environments. It combines an octa-core CPU with a lightweight chassis rated for IP67 ingress protection. The device runs Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, so deployment and app compatibility are straightforward for IT teams managing fleets of mobile computers.

The MT6769 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0GHz works alongside 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM to handle simultaneous voice, scanning, and data transmission tasks. Applications load quickly, and switching between an inventory management app, a barcode scanning utility, and a VOIP call happens without lag. The 64GB internal storage provides room for large application suites and offline data caching; a microSD slot is available for expansion up to 256GB in many configurations.

The 4.2-inch IPS screen delivers a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, making text, pick lists, and on-screen barcodes readable under indoor lighting. Touch sensitivity is set for finger operation, glove use, and stylus input. The panel brightness is tuned for warehouses and stockrooms where ambient light varies between corridors and shelf rows.

The rear 20MP autofocus camera captures high-resolution images of damaged goods, delivery documents, and shelf conditions. The front 5MP camera supports video calls and operator identification. Both cameras benefit from the processing power of the MT6769 chip, enabling quick image processing and barcode scanning via the camera when needed.

The integrated scanning engine reads most 1D and 2D symbologies encountered in retail, logistics, and manufacturing: UPC, EAN, Code 39, Code 128, QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, and more. Scan performance on damaged or poorly printed codes benefits from dedicated hardware decoding that bypasses the main CPU, conserving battery and delivering sub-second read rates.

NFC support covers ISO 14443 Type A/B, ISO 15693, and MIFARE protocols, allowing the K401 to read RFID tags, authenticate access badges, and interact with contactless payment terminals. The NFC antenna is positioned on the back for one-tap reading. Combined with 4G LTE and GPS, the terminal enables real-time asset tracking and proof-of-delivery capture in field operations.
Wireless performance is a key design point. The dual-band Wi-Fi radio implements the full IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n protocol stack with extensions d, e, h, i, j, k, r, and v, which means fast roaming (802.11r) is supported for voice and data sessions that stay connected as operators move between access points in a distribution center. Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE connects to headsets, portable printers, and Bluetooth beacons over distances of 5 to 10 meters in open air. The 4G module operates on global LTE bands, with 3G and 2G fallback, providing data connectivity in remote yards and during transport.
The 5200mAh battery is housed in a removable compartment. Swapping a depleted pack for a charged one does not power off the terminal; a small internal reserve keeps the system alive for 2-3 minutes during the exchange. This feature is critical for cold-chain environments and 24-hour operations where downtime for charging is unacceptable. Typical runtime with mixed scanning and LTE transmission reaches 10-12 hours on a single charge.

Build quality reflects the requirements of industrial use. The K401 enclosure meets IP67, meaning it is dust-tight and withstands immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Drop-test ratings conform to MIL-STD-810G methodologies, with the ability to survive repeated 1.5-meter drops onto concrete. The Corning Gorilla Glass touch panel resists scratches from keys, tools, and abrasive surfaces.

Physical connectivity includes a USB Type-C 2.0 port that supports OTG, allowing direct connection of USB flash drives, keyboards, or external sensors. The 3.5mm audio jack is omitted by design to enhance sealing; audio is routed through the built-in speaker (rated louder than 95dB at 10cm), a noise-canceling microphone, and a receiver optimized for voice calls in noisy surroundings. PTT (Push-To-Talk) functionality can be mapped to a side button for instant communication in warehouse group-talk scenarios.
Sensors add operational intelligence. The gravity sensor detects device orientation and automatically rotates the display; the light sensor adjusts screen brightness to save power; the proximity sensor blanks the touchscreen during calls to prevent cheek touches. These are standard on smartphone-class devices, and their inclusion on the K401 makes app development consistent with consumer Android standards.
